Year 6 Parents - SATs Information Mtg (2.2.17)

In order for you to support your child in their forthcoming Year 6 SATs tests, I would like to invite you to attend an information meeting for parents.

The purpose of the meeting is to share key information about the SATs with you so that you are able to help your child to do their very best during the tests. It is important that your child is both mentally and physically ready for their SATs, and Mr Harris will be sharing some ‘top tips’ to ensure that your child is able to give 100% and show their knowledge and skills in test conditions.

Mr Harris will be hosting the SATs Information Meeting at 2:30p.m on Thursday 2nd February. We held an information meeting for parents last year, but the feedback we received indicated that parents would have liked this meeting earlier in the year. Hence, we’ve moved to meeting to February. The meeting will finish by 3:00p.m meaning that younger siblings can be collected. I will be teaching Year 6 during this meeting, giving you an opportunity to ask questions and talk to Mr Harris about the expectations for SATs Week.

I very much hope that you will be able to attend. If you are not able to come along, please let us know – we will endeavour to reschedule the meeting to a more convenient time.

Your child has worked very hard so far this year and deserves to do well in their Key Stage 2 SATs tests. They need to be calm yet focused, they need to believe in themselves and need to give 100% in order to achieve their very best. With some additional information from Mr Harris, parents will be in a better place to support their children at home – support that is greatly appreciated.

Please do make every effort to come along and attend this information meeting. We want every child in Year 6 to perform well during SATs Week and demonstrate their readiness for secondary school. Positive partnership between home and school is crucial to helping all Year 6 pupils achieve their very best.

Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions. Thank you - Mr Edwards
